My background is in Psychology. I have a Master’s Degree in East-West psychology specializing in blending Eastern Philosophy with Western Psychology. My background helps me connect with my patients every day; because pain can be physical or emotional. Stress can create many kinds of physical pain.

As an important part of my training I lived in China from 2004 to 2008, studying with two High Level Masters. They taught me the “secrets” of the inter-relationship between Acupuncture and the Internal Martial Arts. This is a skill that is hard to develop and takes a lifetime to perfect. They taught me how to put into practice the theories I had learned in my study of East-West Psychology.

Living in China also immersed me in the language and culture that was the birthplace of Acupuncture, T’ai Chi and Qi Gong. This gives me a depth of understanding of all three that I could never have achieved if I had not lived there.

Acupuncture, T’ai Chi and Qi Gong are three parts of a science that is focused on the life energy of the body, which is called Qi (pronounced “Chee”) in Chinese. I use Acupuncture and Energy Healing to help patients directly. I teach people to use T’ai Chi and Qi Gong to help improve their own health and wellness. These are also the tools that I use to improve my own skills as a healer.

Qi is the feeling we have of being alive. It is the felt experience of the body functioning. When everything is functioning well we feel great. When there is a problem we feel pain, discomfort or just that we aren’t at our best. Anything that keeps us from feeling our best is a blockage or an imbalance in the flow of the Qi.

The greatest improvement of my skills as a healer has come from my years of training in Meditation, T’ai Chi Ch’uan, and Qi Gong. Because Mind guides the Qi and guiding the Qi is a skill that can be developed through the practice of Meditation, T’ai Chi Ch’uan and Qi Gong. These practices have refined my own ability to feel the blocks and imbalances in people’s energy, and to help those blocks and imbalances dissolve, resolve and get out of the way of our Vibrant Health. This is the genuine skill of the ancient art of Acupuncture. It is the true source of any form of deep healing. Health is innate within you and just needs to be brought out.
